28 weeks and counting!

How your baby's growing: By this week, your baby weighs a little over 2 pounds and measures about 14.8 inches from the top of her head to her heels. She can open her eyes — which now sport lashes — and she'll turn her head toward a continuous, bright light from the outside. Her fat layers are beginning to form, too, as she gets ready for life outside the womb.

We had a great weekend with friends and family in Morehead this weekend. We went up for our first baby shower. Baby stuff is so much fun! I can't wait to start setting up the nursery.

On the way to Morehead we stopped in Wilmington to have dinner with Amber. In the course of the dinner conversation she mentioned that our cousin Rhonda, who is having a baby in July/August, is planning on naming the baby Matthew Grayson. This really took Hank and I by suprise. We had been keeping our baby name, that we picked out almost 2 years ago, a secret, but decided that this weekend's shower would be a great time to reveal that we too had chosen the name Greyson. We called Rhonda on the way up to Morehead and we all had a good laugh at the amazing coincidence and decided great minds think alike. At the shower on Sunday we explained that while it had been fun having the name as our little secret for awhile we had decided that we were going to share our name. We picked out Greyson Abigail because we both love the name Greyson and Abigail because it means "Joy of her father" and we liked that name and meaning. Everyone was very happy to find out the name and we are happy we don't have to worrry about slipping up and accidentally saying her name anymore!
